People who can ride all the time but still keep their life in order and keep moving towards a set goal or goals. It doesn’t have to be one or the other no matter what people tell you.

- Favorite BMX'er: Scotty Cranmer hands down. He was the 2nd Pro I ever met, after Mike Fede (who is a close 2nd and personal friend/mentor) he’s absolutely amazing on the bmx and he’s a really good dude.

- Who to Thank: My mom for always being my #1 sponsor! All the dudes from “influences”, my wife, Heather Prince for supporting me 110%, Jason Rodriguez, Brian Cunningham, Matt Still, Keith King, Jon Dowker, Joey Scarborough, Mike Fede for helping me out so much in my bmx career, GRINDlab Skatepark(R.I.P.) for letting me ride for free for 3 years and having late night sessions anytime I wanted, Scotty’s family for always being so good to me, Ryan Davis, Gary Ray, Steve Hoss, all the Denver homies, all the Ephrata homies, all the Raleigh homies, Cristhian Baron, Dakota Hunt, Scott Wirch, Johnny Deadwyler, Kyle Biller, Steve Cuesta, Kevin Teets, Kyle Kelsey, and Rob Christianson.
- Thoughts of the Freestyle Connection: I believe the Freestyle Connection brings an amazing, action packed show to every event and has a special message at every single school show and I love what they have to say. Jon Dowker has given me the opportunity that no other show team has and that’s to be 100% involved with the company and I appreciate it very much. I’ve learned a lot from the Freestyle Connection over the past 5 years and it’s been an awesome ride that I don’t want to get off of for a long time!!!
Nathan Steer
- Sponsor: Skizz BMX
- Hometown: Warwick Rhode Island
- Current Home: Newport News Virginia
- Type of Riding:park, dirt, vert, street, mountain, anything that lets me be in the air on my bike.
- Years Riding: Started around 1997 at 4 jumping things in the yard. So about 21 years. I’m on a normal schedule for the first time in several years so I’m able to ride a lot more now
- Favorite BMXer: My favorite Bmx rider has been chris child’s sence I was about 12 years old. I know him from Rhode Island spots and skatersedge in Massachusetts. When Chris rides everyone stops and watches. He goes so high, is very technical, he can ride a spot that seems unridable and makes it look easy. He has so much style and talent. He doesn’t throw the biggest tricks all the time but he definitely has a lot of them. I think his aspect of Bmx is the real deal. Of course I think Dave, Matt, Kevin, and even Jamie are the legends but if I have to choose one person it’s chris.
- Influences: Probably my biggest influence early on was victor. He was the old guy at the park that always talked Bmx and had the latest and greatest parts on his bike. But as I got older I met a lot of my friends like Frankie Glawson, and Don Pavelka. Frankie was my best friend and we would push each other in games of bike every time we ride and every session with Frankie is epic. Don is like my wiser older brother that forced me to polish my riding and make re do tricks if I hopped in a fakie or did something sketchy.
- Favorite Spot: Skaters edge in Massachusetts. It’s not the best park in the world but it’s pretty good. It’s were I learned the majority of my tricks and overall riding. It has slit bit of everything. As soon as I got my license I spent as much time there as much as I could. Most times going completely alone
- Favorite Music: I can’t pick one area of music but I like metal, rap and classic rock the most
- Favorite Quote: I’m just gonna send it!
- Favorite Food: quality meat like a thick ribeye steak or some prime rib
- Who to Thank: First my parents for buying my first bikes and talking me out of Walmart bikes when I was young and didn’t know better. Instead the took me to a bike shop. Next I’d like to thank everyone I grew up riding Bmx with. We used to have a big group meet everyday to ride after school and every year less and less people road. I want to thank skizz Bmx and friends for always being there, partying, and riding banged up the morning after. I also want to thank whoever it was that came up with putting out the 22 inch Bmx bike. I’m a taller guy and the 22 makes everything comfortable and works perfect for me.
- Thoughts of the Freestyle Connection: When Jon asked me to ride in a show for him was one of the most exciting moments of my life. I had met Jordan prince earlier in the year and stared following him on Instagram. I saw him doing shows for freestyle connection and it became a instant dream of mine to ride in a show myself. I had know about Bmx shows for years but never thought I would ever be able to ride in one. This year I was able to ride a lot more and ride better places like Skatepark’s in Virginia and North Carolina. I progressed this year for the first time in several years. Riding in the freestyle connection show is one of my proudest achievements, even more then buying my first house. I think The freestyle connection isn’t about being the best rider, person or whatever it is that you do but it’s about doing the best job you can and having the best time you can while doing it. Everybody that plays a part in the freestyle are such awesome people. The day of my first show I only knew one Jordan but Jon and Gary ray made it feel like Iv known them for years
